MDScripts Multi-Language support for Pharmacy Labels

MDScripts has launched service leveraging Google Translate to support 109 different languages for printing Pharmacy Labels. The Language option on patient profiles now allows selecting over 100 different languages to translate the pharmacy labels.

Step 1: Enable Language Field and Accept Google Translate Disclaimer

Under Home -> My Site -> Input Fields you will need to ensure that the Language field has been enabled:

Next, you must accept the Google Translate Disclaimer under Home -> My Site -> Languages:

If the disclaimer has not been accepted, then you will see the following message when viewing a patient record:

Step 2: Set Individual Patient Languages during the dispense process

Once the Language field has been enabled and the Disclaimer accepted for your site, you will now see the Language selection on the Patient Profile screen. The Help information will give additional details regarding the Google Translate function. The default "blank" value for all patients will be English. YOU DO NOT NEED TO SET ENGLISH FOR PATIENTS IF THEY ARE BLANK.

Step 3: Print Pharmacy Labels

Once the patient language is set, New and Existing pharmacy labels for patients will be translated into the chosen language for the patient.

NOTE: Currently only English and Spanish are supported on the Monographs. Additional languages may become available in the future.
